Cottages by the Ocean is a small, well-kept property of charming Key West-style studio and one-bedroom cottages in the heart of the walkable beach area. It is less than two blocks to the beach and a short walk to Pompano's spectacular new oceanfront promenade, dozens of restaurants, shops, dive boats and new fishing pier.
We are a multiple White Glove award-winner by the Superior Small Lodging Association. This historic complex comprised Pompano's first resort cottages when the rest of the area was pineapple fields.
This restored 1940s Queen studio cottage is different than the other studios, and for the same price. It has a queen bed and no sleeper sofa, but includes a separate room with full eat-in kitchen (including dishwasher) instead of kitchenette, outside corner patio with umbrella table and chairs instead of a screened porch, and regular ceilings instead of vaulted. The bathroom is slightly larger than those in the other studios with larger shower (no tub), grab bars and hairdryer. Includes flat-screen cable TV, free wi-fi, one free parking space, ceiling fan, A/C and heat, all linens, beach towels, beach chairs, cooler, cleaning tools, books, family games, George Foreman electric BBQ grill on the patio and guest laundry on site.
