My home is cleaned and disinfected before each renter arrives. Bright and airy, 2nd & 3rd floor living right 'In The Village' (see book by Anthony Bailey, 1971), with a great view of activities on Water Street, yet still very private. Historic 19th century building with modern loft living ... vaulted ceiling, sky-lights, spiral staircase, roof-top deck. Large open-space living, dining, and kitchen space with two bedrooms, a full bath, and a 1/2 bath on the second floor, and one loft bedroom on the 3rd floor. Views of Stonington Harbor and Fishers Island, NY from 2 of the bedrooms. 3 short block walk to the Harbor, Small Boat Ass'n launch area (launch your kayaks at this free public launch space), children's playground, & Fishing Docks. Shopping and restaurants on Water Street, Public Library (1 block), Old Lighthouse Museum & DuBois Beach at the end of the Point (approx. 12 blocks - 'The Borough' is a peninsula).
Just ten minutes from the Mystic drawbridge lies Stonington Borough, called “the most beautiful seaside village in New England.” Because the Borough is a narrow, mile-long peninsula pointing into Fisher’s Island Sound and Little Narragansett Bay, nothing is more than a short walk from your car or boat. From “The Point” you can view three states--CT, RI, & NY-- or see the last remaining commercial fleet in the state bring lobster and famous scallops and flounder to the Town Dock. The Borough is a major yachting center with all the amenities and our beautiful harbor boasts boats of all types and sizes.
