Hope Mill House - PRIME LOCATION with a inground heated saltwater pool! The Hope Mill House is a 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath rental property located just 2.1 miles north of Cooperstown Dreams Park, on the same road! The Village of Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame is a quick 5 minute drive north. Hope Mill house is absolutely ideal for baseball tournaments families looking to be close to the park as well as the Village of Cooperstown. There is a trout stream running along the edge of the property for fishing and visual enjoyment, in addition to that guests' can fish The Susquehanna River just up the road from Compton bridge access.
Rich in history the Hope Mill House was originally built in 1816 as a grain mill powered by water from the stream, how neat right?! There are many unique features still evident throughout the house, the original water turbine still sits in the front yard as a reminder of times gone by. The property was completely renovated and updated to bring it into the modern age while still maintaining the special character of the original mill.
Upon entering the house you will notice the very high ceilings and large open first floor comprised of a humungous living room and lounging area with TV, the dining area and the fully equipped kitchen. There are sliding glass doors leading outside from the kitchen to the outdoors. There is a patio perfect to enjoy a BBQ or morning coffee. There is seating and a gas grill for guests use on the patio. The pool area is a short walk down the driveway from the backyard. The natural light seems to just fill each bedroom beautifully, no worries there are blackout shutters for sleeping.
